Low Profile Tiles

In Germany, no other tile has proved as popular as the Frankfurter Pfanne

Frankfurter Pfanne

The Frankfurter Pfanne, known as the Double Roman in the UK and the Double Romane in France, is a true classic among MONIER roof tiles. In Germany, its country of origin, it has been widely used for over 60 years, and no other tile has proved as popular. The tiles are available in a wide range of colours and with a choice of several functional surfaces, such as the dirt-repellent “STAR” and the smog-eating “Titano/x”, based on the Auranox technology. As well as being aesthetically appealing, the Frankfurter Pfanne also helps home-owners to comply with regulations on the use of sustainable building materials.

Doppel-S

The Doppel-S concrete tile originates in Northern Germany, in the windy areas close to the Baltic and North Sea coasts. Its gentle, flowing lines deflect even strong winds over the surface, and offer excellent protection against driving rain. Its singular shape creates an interplay of light and shade, giving roofs added depth and texture. Doppel-S tiles are also sold outside of Germany under different names in Poland, the Baltic States, Scandinavia and the UK, and are available in a range of different colours to blend harmoniously into any setting.
