The renovation of a Dutch social housing community called for special attention and skill.
The striking design of the buildings meant that the developers faced two challenges: firstly, how to hang the tiles vertically as cladding down the sides of the buildings, and secondly, how to cope with the joint between the wall and the flat roof.
MONIER’s experts rose to the challenge and through their technical service department, "Dakservice", gave advice on how to hang the tiles, as well as which tile to choose. The modular De Nieuwe Hollander was ideal for the task, offering a special 2/3 tile which enabled the cladding to be fully and tightly integrated with the windows.
