McClelland Special School
Beacon Bay, South Africa
On the Eastern Cape of South Africa, within the town of Beacon Bay, the village children have something to smile about. Working alongside the project team responsible for building the village school, MONIER in South Africa was able to recommend a completely different style of roofing solution.
The Coverland Double Roman Red Farmhouse tile provided a cost effective alternative to the customary metal sheeting. And it has the further dual benefit of making the classrooms cooler from the inside, and smarter from the outside.
The children, all with special learning needs, look forward to coming to a school that is fit for its purpose, and that sets new standards in an area of the world that has such a bright future.
