THE ROYAL PALACE

Amalienborg, Denmark

MONIER project in Denmark
MONIER working with royalty presents a traditional solution fit for a historical heritage.

The Danish Palaces and Property Agency issued the brief to re-roof the palaces of the Danish Royal Family including Amalienborg, the residence of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. The need was for a bespoke tile which could deliver the essential quality and sense of traditional style from a company which could work under the strictest security.

MONIER Denmark was chosen for the job after successfully completing two pilot projects which proved their expertise and attention to every detail. The clay tile plant at Volstrup Teglvaerk hand crafted 100,000 Dan Tegl tiles, exclusively glazed and finished under the careful scrutiny of the Royal Inspector of Listed State Buildings.
