With Qinghua and Beijing Universities nearby, the Xishan mountains to the north west and the Summer Palace of the Qing dynasty to the east, this exclusive project in China called for a special, majestic design. Traditional building methods in China would not have been able to deliver the quality finish that was required. The mortar fixings would not have matched the roof tiles, nor protected the building from rain.
MONIER China encouraged the developers to break with tradition. Their deep grey Chappre flat tile, combined and colourblended with a special fixing system, delivered a great looking roof and upgraded its water-proofing capability.
The finished development sits proudly alongside its grand and esteemed neighbours.
