Monier Group expands its solar activities worldwide

The Monier Group is the world’s leading provider of building materials for pitched roofs, roofing components and chimney and ventilation systems. With its well-known brand portfolio (for example Braas in Germany and Redland in Great Britain) and a complete range of systems and products for pitched roofs and chimneys, it offers premium product quality as well as innovation. The company is now further expanding its international activities in the field of solar roofs.

In future and with effect from 1 January 2010, Dr. Christian Pohl will as Director Business Line Solar take over responsibility on Group level for Monier’s worldwide solar activities. After several years as business area manager within the company’s Roofing Components business line, he will further expand the solar business. The foundation stone for this has already been laid: for example, in addition to in-roof collectors, since 2009 complete solar thermal systems of German manufacture have been marketed under the product name InnoSol by operating companies in the Group. Moreover, since March 2008 Monier has had its own manufacturing facility for collectors, tanks and heat pumps.
